Grants/Donations

TCSA provides modest grants and donations to probation departments and non-profits.

Global Youth Service Day
GYSD is an annual campaign that celebrates and mobilizes the millions of children and youth who improve their communities each day of the year through service and service-learning. This year the event will be celebrated throughout the month of April.

Once again, the Texas Juvenile Justice Department (TJJD) will serve as a Lead Agency in Texas. Tammy Holland, TJJD Administrator of Volunteer Services, will spearhead the initiative.

For the fourth consecutive year, TCSA will partner with TJJD to make available mini-grant funds. This year TCSA will contribute $1,000.00 in grant funds. Grant funds are intended to help defray costs associated with implementation of a GYSD project.

Eligible applicants are probation departments and TJJD parole offices who have employees as current members of TCSA. Grant evaluations are independently conducted by the State Volunteer Resource Council The latter is a network of affiliated organizations that partners with TJJD in rehabilitating youthful offenders.
